Our Role: Building Services Design

Description: Full mechanical and electrical services design to this shell building which includes pool area, gym area, steam rooms, haman room, treatment rooms, changing areas and relaxation areas. Sam Abbas was part of the design team delegation from Northern Ireland who visited site in November 2010 to meet the client and assess the scope and scale of the works required.

Special Features included:

1. Fully air conditioned large indoor swimming pool to control internal humidity level when outdoor temperature reaches almost 50C

2. Fresh air requirement for large underground gym area

3. Waterfall feature with integrated coloured lights to create panoramic scenery within the grand entrance atrium of the building

4. Co-ordination of the M&E services within the premium woodwork panelling and decoration

5. Comprehensive building energy management system to provide remote monitoring and data logging facilities
